Are we ready for autonomous driving? The KITTI vision benchmark suite
TL;DR: The autonomous driving platform is used to develop novel challenging benchmarks for the tasks of stereo, optical flow, visual odometry/SLAM and 3D object detection, revealing that methods ranking high on established datasets such as Middlebury perform below average when being moved outside the laboratory to the real world.
Journal ArticleDOI
scikit-image: Image processing in Python
Stefan van der Walt,Johannes L. Schonberger,Juan Nunez-Iglesias,François Boulogne,Joshua D. Warner,Neil Yager,Emmanuelle Gouillart,Tony S. Yu +7 more
TL;DR: The advantages of open source to achieve the goals of the scikit-image library are highlighted, and several real-world image processing applications that use scik it-image are showcased.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Model Inversion Attacks that Exploit Confidence Information and Basic Countermeasures
TL;DR: A new class of model inversion attack is developed that exploits confidence values revealed along with predictions and is able to estimate whether a respondent in a lifestyle survey admitted to cheating on their significant other and recover recognizable images of people's faces given only their name.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Supervised Descent Method and Its Applications to Face Alignment
TL;DR: A Supervised Descent Method (SDM) is proposed for minimizing a Non-linear Least Squares (NLS) function and achieves state-of-the-art performance in the problem of facial feature detection.
Journal ArticleDOI
The ImageJ ecosystem: An open platform for biomedical image analysis
TL;DR: The ImageJ project is used as a case study of how open‐source software fosters its suites of software tools, making multitudes of image‐analysis technology easily accessible to the scientific community.
