Photochemical Phase Transition and Molecular Realignment of Glass-Forming Liquid Crystals Containing Cholesterol/Azobenzene Dimesogenic Compounds

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the length of the alkyl chain substituted on the azobenzene unit and the photochemical isomerization of the unit on the properties of the mesophases of the compounds or a host cholesteric liquid crystal forming stable glass when using them as a dopant was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

4′-Nitro-azobenzol-carbonsäure-(4)-chlorid als Reagens auf Alkohole

TL;DR: The Ester der 2′-, 3′-and 4′-Nitro-azobenzol-carbonsaure-(4)-chlorid is ein leicht zugangliches Reagens auf Alkohole as discussed by the authors.

Sterols of scallop. I. Application of hydrophobic sephadex derivatives to the resolution of a complex mixture of marine sterols.

TL;DR: Column chromatography on a hydroxyalkoxypropyl derivative of Sephadex LH-20 and on Anasil B has been applied to the resolution of a complex marine sterol mixture in combination with argentation thin-layer chromatography and gas chromatography.
