Torsional oscillations of an elastic stratum
TLDR
In this paper, the problem of torsional oscillations set up in an elastic stratum, one face of which is rigidly secured, by a rigid circular disk which is attached to the free surface of the material and which performs simple harmonic oscillations about its axis is solved after reducing it to the solution of a Fredholm Integral Equation of the second kind.Abstract:
This paper is concerned with straightforward solution of the problem of torsional oscillations set up in an elastic stratum, one face of which is rigidly secured, by a rigid circular disk which is attached to the free surface of the material and which performs simple harmonic oscillations about its axis. The problem has been solved after reducing it to the solution of a Fredholm Integral Equation of the second kind.read more

Forced Vibration of Surface Foundation on Viscoelastic Isotropic Multi-Layered Stratum
TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical approach for analyzing the forced vibration of a rigid surface foundation is presented, where the foundation is discretized into a number of sub-elements, and the dynamic response within each sub-element is described by the Green's function.

Dynamic Interaction Between an Embedded Disc and a Nonhomogeneous Saturated Stratum Under Torsional Excitation
Dazhi Wu,Zhenying Zhang +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamic motion equations of a nonhomogeneous saturated soil were established by using Hankel integral transform, and the tangential displacement and shear stresses in Hankel transform domain were formulated.

System of Cracks in Elasticity Theory
TL;DR: In this paper, a closed form solution to the infinite row of collinear cracks has been found and an explicit solution of the problem of a parallel row of parallel cracks was obtained after reducing it to a Fredholm type of integral equation.

Forced Torsional Oscillations of an Elastic Halfhyphen;Space. II
TL;DR: In this article, a study is made of the forced torsional oscillations of an elastic half-space, the physical constants of which are assumed to be known, under the action of a rigid circular disk oscillating periodically about an axis through its center.
