Virtual duplication and mapping prefetching for emerging storage primitives in NAND flash memory storage systems
TLDR
Experimental results show that ESP can significantly improve the write/read performance and reduce over 30% of garbage collection operations, and a proposed two optimization strategies, virtual duplication and mapping prefetching to solve the critical issues in existing emerging storage primitives.About:

Analysis and evolution of journaling file systems
TL;DR: Semantic block-level analysis (SBA) as discussed by the authors combines knowledge of on-disk data structures with a trace of disk traffic to infer file system behavior; in contrast to standard benchmarking approaches, SBA enables users to understand why the file system behaves as it does.

Impact of process variations on emerging memristor
TL;DR: Two parameters are introduced to measure the fluctuation of the overall internal state (or the resistance) of a Memristor under the impact of process variations and Monte-Carlo simulations are conducted to evaluate the device mismatch effects in the memristor-based memory.
