TL;DR: In this paper , a new reporting guideline for systematic reviews and meta-analyses of prediction model research is proposed, which aims to improve the transparency and completeness of such reviews.
Abstract: Most clinical specialties have a plethora of studies that develop or validate one or more prediction models, for example, to inform diagnosis or prognosis. Having many prediction model studies in a particular clinical field motivates the need for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, to evaluate and summarise the overall evidence available from prediction model studies, in particular about the predictive performance of existing models. Such reviews are fast emerging, and should be reported completely, transparently, and accurately. To help ensure this type of reporting, this article describes a new reporting guideline for systematic reviews and meta-analyses of prediction model research.

TL;DR: The TRIPOD-Cluster (transparent reporting of multivariable prediction models developed or validated using clustered data) statement comprises a 19 item checklist, which aims to improve the reporting of studies developing or validating a prediction model in clustered data, such as individual participant data meta-analyses and electronic health records (clustering by practice or hospital) as mentioned in this paper .
Abstract: The TRIPOD-Cluster (transparent reporting of multivariable prediction models developed or validated using clustered data) statement comprises a 19 item checklist, which aims to improve the reporting of studies developing or validating a prediction model in clustered data, such as individual participant data meta-analyses (clustering by study) and electronic health records (clustering by practice or hospital). This explanation and elaboration document describes the rationale; clarifies the meaning of each item; and discusses why transparent reporting is important, with a view to assessing risk of bias and clinical usefulness of the prediction model. Each checklist item of the TRIPOD-Cluster statement is explained in detail and accompanied by published examples of good reporting. The document also serves as a reference of factors to consider when designing, conducting, and analysing prediction model development or validation studies in clustered data. To aid the editorial process and help peer reviewers and, ultimately, readers and systematic reviewers of prediction model studies, authors are recommended to include a completed checklist in their submission.

TL;DR: In this paper , the performance of a tripod-type parallel continuum manipulator, 3PF̲S, is compared with the operation of its rigid counterpart 3P̲RS, showing that there are strong similarities in the reduced mobility of both mechanisms.
Abstract: A parallel continuum manipulator (PCM) is a mechanism of closed-loop morphology with flexible elements such that their deformation contributes to its mobility. Flexible hexapods are six-degrees-of-freedom (DoF) fully parallel continuum mechanisms already presented in the literature. Devices of reduced mobility, i.e., lower mobility than six DoF, have not been studied so far. An essential characteristic of lower mobility mechanisms is that reduced mobility is due to kinematic constraints generated by mechanical arrangements and passive joints. In rigid-link parallel manipulators, those constraints are expressed as a set of equations relating to the parameters representing the end effector’s pose. As a consequence, independent output pose variables are controllable with the position equations, while dependent output variables undergo parasitic motions. In this paper, the performance of a tripod-type parallel continuum manipulator, 3PF̲S, is compared with the operation of its rigid counterpart 3P̲RS. We will show that in PCMs there are no such geometric constraints expressible with algebraic equations, but it is difficult to perform some types of motion in the end effector with the input torques. Another goal of this paper is to evaluate such limitation of motion in a tripod-like PCM and compare it with the constraints of the rigid 3P̲RS. Finally, the paper shows that there are strong similarities in the reduced mobility of both mechanisms.

TL;DR: The TRIPOD checklist was released in 2015 to improve the reporting of multivariable prediction models as discussed by the authors , which enables researchers to externally validate the model and assess its validity and reliability.
Abstract: Background: Studies that develop and/or validate a clinical (diagnostic or prognostic) prediction model should be reported with sufficient details to enable the clinician to use the model in clinical practice. Also, an adequate reporting enables researchers to externally validate the model and assess its validity and reliability. To improve the reporting of multivariable prediction models, the TRIPOD checklist was released in 2015. Objective: Evaluate the quality of reporting of prediction model studies conducted in patients with back pain, neck pain or osteoarthritis. Methods: We will perform a systematic review of the literature, searching MEDLINE (via Ovid), Embase, Web of Science, and CINHAL (via EBSCO) for studies that describe a model development, external validation, update, or a combination of these in patients with back pain, neck pain or osteoarthritis. The completeness of the reporting will be evaluated using a specific adherence assessment form of the TRIPOD. Two authors will independently perform the study selection and data extraction processes. A descriptive analysis of the total score and the individual items of the TRIPOD will be produced. Ethics and dissemination: Upon the completion of the study, a manuscript with the results will be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors test theoretical tools developed to frame social construction, historicization, and speech-action as performance on IV Castellanos's social sculpture Homage to an Activist Tripod.
Abstract: This paper tests theoretical tools developed to frame social construction, historicization, and speech-action as performance on IV Castellanos’s social sculpture Homage to an Activist Tripod. How can one say that a temporary, collective, non-representation yet intentional collective performance matters to and as ‘world history’? What constructive agencies do different theoretical frameworks provide performance-as-art and other Othered and otherwise ‘non-productive’ world-building practices? Written from the perspective of a participant in the performance, which paid homage to water and land protectors, the structure of this paper builds analogies between theorization and task-based performance, between theoretical spaces and political action, demanding structural integrity and ethical coherence within and between constructivities.

TL;DR: For the Coulomb energy, the authors showed that the domain of robust control is non-void for a regular triangle and positive charges, which relates to questions about the Maxwell conjecture about point charges.
Abstract: Tripod spiders are the simplest examples of arachnoid mechanisms. Their workspaces and configuration spaces are well known. For Hooke potential, we give a complete description of the Morse theory and treat the robust control of the spider. For the Coulomb energy, we use stationary charges and the trapping domain to study the robust control of spiders. We show that, for a regular triangle and positive charges, the domain of robust control is non-void. This relates to questions about the Maxwell conjecture about point charges. We end with several natural problems and research perspectives suggested by our results.

TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a camera tripod removal network (TRNet) based on generative adversarial network (GAN) to address the problem of residual images of the camera tripod in panoramic images.
Abstract: There are often residual images of the camera tripod in panoramic images, which may reduce the image quality and deteriorate the post-processing speed. To address this problem, a camera tripod removal network (TRNet) based on generative adversarial network is proposed. As an end-to-end model, the generator is designed to include recognition and reconstruction branches, which reduce the number of parameters and improve the training efficiency by sharing the encoder and correspond to scaffold recognition and texture reconstruction respectively. The recognition branch based on the U-Net structure can effectively identify the tripod area, while the reconstruction branch can brilliantly reconstruct the texture details through an intermediate layer formed by stacking dilated convolution residual blocks. Furthermore, spectral normalized Markov discriminator and multiple combined loss function are adopted to promote global texture consistency and thus result in a better texture filling effect. Finally, a data set of 400 panoramic images is constructed and experimental results on this data set demonstrate the better repair ability of TRNet against other state-of-the-art methods.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present model tests for a scaled tripod bucket jacket foundation with reference to a prototype applied in China to obtain its lateral load bearing behavior in medium-dense sands.
Abstract: The tripod bucket jacket foundation is proven to be a practicable solution for offshore wind turbines (OWTs) to withstand huge environmental loads in deep water. This paper presents model tests for a scaled tripod bucket jacket foundation with reference to a prototype applied in China to obtain its lateral load bearing behavior in medium-dense sands. Extended finite element analyses were conducted by ABAQUS to compare anti-overturning responses for the tripod bucket foundation in both sand and soft clay, and the influences of loading direction and aspect ratio were also taken into account. The results showed that the failure modes of the laterally loaded tripod bucket foundation are the pull-out of the windward bucket in sand and the settlement of the leeward bucket in soft clay, respectively. Thus, the unfavorable loading direction of the foundation changes with soil type. It is also shown that the bearing capacity for the foundation in soft clay will be enhanced more effectively as the bucket diameter increases. Instead of the rotational soil resistance resulting from the rotation of the bucket, the vertical soil resistance governs the anti-overturning bearing capacity of a tripod bucket foundation. As the tilt created by the overturning moment rises, the rotational stiffness of the foundation dramatically declines.

TL;DR: In this paper , an electrical-network version of the twist map for the positive Grassmannian was constructed and used to solve the inverse problem of recovering conductances from the response matrix.
Abstract: We construct an electrical-network version of the twist map for the positive Grassmannian, and use it to solve the inverse problem of recovering conductances from the response matrix. Each conductance is expressed as a biratio of Pfaffians as in the inverse map of Kenyon and Wilson; however, our Pfaffians are the more canonical $B$ variables instead of their tripod variables, and are coordinates on the positive orthogonal Grassmannian studied by Henriques and Speyer.

TL;DR: In this article , the 4Rs: Recognize, Release, Recruit, Restore, and Restore (4Rs) are used to identify, release, recruit, and restore neuromuscular balance.
Abstract: Abstract Conscious awareness of our bodies can enhance patterns for neuromuscular balance. Unconscious habits may place unequal force on the body’s structural integrity as well as unnecessary stress on joints and muscles. Chapter 2 investigates the skeletal center of gravity, dynamic alignment, and postural control. The chapter includes an introduction to the Functional Awareness reflective practice of the 4Rs: Recognize, Release, Recruit, Restore. The authors offer the tripod of balance of the foot and balance of the head at the top of the spine (atlanto-occipital joint) as anatomical visualizations to aid in recruiting a new movement choice to restore toward balance. Guided movement explorations in this chapter help the reader discover personal applications for the content.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors apply Dicken's tripod to examine the regulation of gender equality in one Australian public sector and identify regulatory incongruence within the Australian public service and argue for improved congruence to progress gender equality.
Abstract: Western governments have used regulation to progress gender equality for workforces in both the private and public sectors, yet gender equality has not yet been achieved. While governments have used various regulatory forms, Dickens (1999) argued that a tripod of collective bargaining, legislation and human resource policy would progress gender equality. Little consideration has been given to how these elements of the tripod fit together. We apply Dickens’ tripod to examine the regulation of gender equality in one Australian public sector. We use institutional analysis, drawing on historical and current documents, legislation, collective bargaining frameworks and human resource policy to examine how the regulatory tripod interlocks, and whether renewed commitments to public sector gender equality can be achieved in the current regulatory environment. We identify regulatory incongruence within the Australian public service and argue for improved congruence to progress gender equality, although we also note that congruence on its own does not lead to better outcomes. We identify that the legs of the tripod are not mutually reinforcing and that all legs need to be supported by better implementation. We extend Dicken's tripod to provide a new path to progress public sector workplace gender equality, enriching both theory and practice.

TL;DR: In this paper , a finite element method is used to characterize the motion caused by deforming single degrees of freedom and develop a reduced kinematic model, where nodes of the periodic lattice move in patterns along geometric planes.
Abstract: Voxel-based structures provide a modular, mechanically flexible periodic lattice, which can be used as a soft robot through internal deformations. To engage these structures for robotic tasks, we use a finite element method to characterize the motion caused by deforming single degrees of freedom and develop a reduced kinematic model. We find that nodes of the periodic lattice move in patterns along geometric planes, primarily along translational degrees of freedom. The resulting kinematic model frames the structural deformations in terms of user-defined control and end-effector nodes, which further reduces the model size. The derived Planes of Motion model can be equivalently used for forward and inverse kinematics, as demonstrated by the design of a voxel-based robotic gripper, and an in-depth design of a voxel-based robotic locomotor. The locomotive robot follows a tripod stable gait and the quasi-static model is validated with physical experiments.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors present several AI-specific reporting standards for clinical AI studies, including SPIRIT-AI, CONSORT-AI (Consortium-AI), STARD-AI , TRIPOD-AI and DECIDE-AI.
Abstract: Over recent years, tremendous progress has been made in the development of AI applications for healthcare. To demonstrate potential benefit to patients and the healthcare system, robust clinical evaluation should be carried out to generate the necessary evidence that AI systems are safe, accurate, and effective. Clinical studies should be designed with that intended impact in mind, and reported according to the relevant reporting standards. Several AI-specific reporting standards, including SPIRIT-AI, CONSORT-AI, STARD-AI, TRIPOD-AI, and DECIDE-AI, have been specifically developed, or are in the process of being developed, for clinical AI studies.

Abstract: This paper examines the coordination chemistry of iron to TPA-like nitrogenous tripod ligands, focusing on how the spin state of the metal is affected by the presence of steric constraints and the coordination of acetonitrile ligands which can be displaced easily. Additionally, the reactivity of the derivatives with molecular oxygen, the conservation of geometry between the solid state and the solution and the various coordination geometries, electronic properties, and redox properties of ferrous tris(2-pyridylmethyl amine) series complexes are discussed. Furthermore, the molecular mechanisms of reactivity of these complexes are evaluated, providing an outlook for future research
