Periodontal Infection Is Associated With Endothelial Dysfunction in Healthy Subjects and Hypertensive Patients
Yukihito Higashi,Chikara Goto,Daisuke Jitsuiki,Takashi Umemura,Kenji Nishioka,Takayuki Hidaka,Hiroaki Takemoto,Shuji Nakamura,Junko Soga,Kazuaki Chayama,Masao Yoshizumi,Akira Taguchi +11 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that periodontitis is associated with endothelial dysfunction in subjects without cardiovascular risk factors, as well as hypertensive patients, through a decrease in NO bioavailability and that systemic inflammation may be, at least in part, a cause of endothelium dysfunction, leading to cardiovascular diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Usefulness of panoramic radiography in the diagnosis of postmenopausal osteoporosis in women. Width and morphology of inferior cortex of the mandible
TL;DR: The results suggest that panoramic radiography could be reliable in screening for osteoporosis, and the usefulness of width and morphology of the inferior cortex of the mandible on panoramy radiographs in the diagnosis of postmenopausal osteoporeosis is evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
