Journal ArticleDOI
Electron loss and excitation in collisions of highly charged calcium-ions with h2 and he
William Graham,E. M. Bernstein,M.W. Clark,J. A. Tanis,Klaus H. Berkner,R. J. McDonald,Alfred S. Schlachter,J.W. Stearns,R.H. McFarland,Thomas J. Morgan,Alfred Müller,Martin P. Stockli +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the cross sections for single collisions of 150-360 MeV calcium ions with H2 and He have been measured for projectile charge states in the range 12 + to 19 +.
Journal ArticleDOI
Forward-angle electron spectroscopy in heavy-ion atom collisions studied at the ESR
P. M. Hillenbrand,S. Hagmann,Dariusz Banaś,K.-H. Blumenhagen,C. Brandau,Wanqiu Chen,E. De Filippo,A. Gumberidze,D. L. Guo,D. H. Jakubassa-Amundsen,Michael Lestinsky,Yu. A. Litvinov,Juan Manuel Monti,Alfred Müller,Hermann Rothard,Stefan Schippers,Markus Schöffler,U. Spillmann,Andrey Surzhykov,S. Trotsenko,Alexander Voitkiv,Xiaolong Zhu,Th. Stöhlker +22 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the U88+ + N2 collision system at a low-relativistic projectile energy of 90 MeV/u has been analyzed experimentally and theoretically with respect to fast electrons emitted with a velocity close to the projectile velocity, vp ≈ ve, at an observation angle of e ≈ 0°, i.e., in the direction of the projectile beam.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiple photodetachment of silicon anions via K-shell excitation and ionization
A. Perry-Sassmannshausen,T. Buhr,Michael Martins,S. Reinwardt,Florian Trinter,Alfred Müller,Stephan Fritzsche,Stefan Schippers +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the photon-ion merged-beams technique was used to measure the photon energy in the range of 1830-1900 eV at a synchrotron light source.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photo-multidetachment and Fragmentation of C60 anions
René C. Bilodeau,René C. Bilodeau,N. D. Gibson,C. W. Walter,D. A. Esteves,R. A. Phaneuf,Stefan Schippers,Alfred Müller,Alex Aguilar,M. Hoener,Jan-Michael Rost,Nora Berrah +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured absolute single-photon multi-electron ionization and fragmentation cross sections for C−60 ions and determined that the excess electron in the anion causes a significant increase in cross section and an overall energy scaling, but otherwise has little effect on the observed structure.

Stochastic order relations and lattices of probability measures
Marco Scarsini,Alfred Müller +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study various partially ordered spaces of probability measures and determine which of them are lattices, which has important consequences for optimization problems with stochastic dominance constraints.
