Journal ArticleDOI
Evolution of the surface plasmon resonance of Au:TiO2 nanocomposite thin films with annealing temperature
Joel Nuno Pinto Borges,Joel Nuno Pinto Borges,Maja Buljan,Jordi Sancho-Parramon,Ivančica Bogdanović-Radović,Zdravko Siketić,Torsten Scherer,Christian Kübel,Sigrid Bernstorff,Albano Cavaleiro,Filipe Vaz,Filipe Vaz,Anabela G. Rolo +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the structural and morphological changes occurring in a particular type of nanocomposite thin-film system, composed of Au nanoparticles (NPs) dispersed in a host TiO2 dielectric matrix, were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ferroelectric characterization of aligned barium titanate nanofibres
Pedro Sá,José Amarilio Barbosa,Igor Bdikin,Bernardo Almeida,Anabela G. Rolo,Etelvina de Matos Gomes,Michael Belsley,Andrei L. Kholkin,Dmitry Isakov +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis, structural and ferroelectric characterization of continuous well-aligned nanofibres of barium titanate produced by the electrospinning technique was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Resonant Raman scattering in ZnO:Mn and ZnO:Mn:Al thin films grown by RF sputtering.
Maria F. Cerqueira,Mikhail Vasilevskiy,Fernando Ribeiro Oliveira,Anabela G. Rolo,T. M. R. Viseu,J. Ayres de Campos,Eduardo Alves,Rosário Correia +7 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the observed suppression of the higher-order LO phonon lines for ZnO:Mn:Al is caused by the dissociation of excitons in the heavily n-type doped material.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structural and optical studies of CdS nanocrystals embedded in silicon dioxide films
TL;DR: In this paper, the combined effects of rf-power deposition, the number of semiconductor chips on the SiO target, and post-annealing temperature on the CdS crystal size were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Confined Optical Vibrations in CdTe Quantum Dots and Clusters
TL;DR: In this article, it is suggested that the lattice dynamics of very small clusters is similar to that of large crystallites in the sense that there still exists the dispersion of optical vibration frequencies within the LO-TO band of bulk material.
