Genomewide Association Study of Severe Covid-19 with Respiratory Failure.

David Ellinghaus, +145 more
TL;DR: A 3p21.31 gene cluster is identified as a genetic susceptibility locus in patients with Covid-19 with respiratory failure and a potential involvement of the ABO blood-group system is confirmed.
Journal ArticleDOI

The tyrosine kinase abl-related gene ARG is fused to ETV6 in an AML-M4Eo patient with a t(1;12)(q25;p13): molecular cloning of both reciprocal transcripts.

TL;DR: A case of acute myeloid leukemia M4 with eosinophilia (AML-M4Eo) positive for the CBFb/MYH11 rearrangement and carrying a t(1;12)(q25;p13) that involves the ETV6 gene at 12p13 is presented, the first report on ARG involvement in a human malignancy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fusion of ETV6 to the caudal-related homeobox gene CDX2 in acute myeloid leukemia with the t(12;13)(p13;q12)

TL;DR: R reverse transcription-PCR analysis showed that CDX2 mRNA, but not ETV6-CDX2 RNA, was strongly expressed in 1 of 10 patients with chronic myeloid leukemia in transformation, suggesting that deregulation of this gene may be more widespread in leukemia.

Molecular Monitoring of Minimal Residual Disease

TL;DR: A number of techniques have been developed over the past 5–10 yr to complement morphology in assessing response to treatment, including immunologic, molecular, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and colony assays, but their sensitivities vary considerably.
