Journal ArticleDOI
Bolometric luminosities and Eddington ratios of X-ray selected Active Galactic Nuclei in the XMM-COSMOS survey
Elisabeta Lusso,Andrea Comastri,Brooke Simmons,M. Mignoli,G. Zamorani,Cristian Vignali,Marcella Brusa,Francesco Shankar,Dieter Lutz,Jonathan R. Trump,Roberto Maiolino,Roberto Maiolino,Roberto Gilli,M. Bolzonella,Simonetta Puccetti,Mara Salvato,Chris Impey,Francesca Civano,Martin Elvis,Vincenzo Mainieri,John D. Silverman,Anton M. Koekemoer,Angela Bongiorno,Andrea Merloni,S. Berta,E. Le Floc'h,Benjamin Magnelli,Francesca Pozzi,L. Riguccini +28 more
TL;DR: In this article, a large sample of X-ray selected broad-line and narrow-line AGN from the XMM-Newton survey in the COSMOS field is presented, and the kbol-Lbol relations derived in the present work are calibrated for the first time against a sizable AGN sample, and rely on observed redshifts, Xray luminosities and column density distributions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fe K emission from active galaxies in the COSMOS field
Kazushi Iwasawa,V. Mainieri,Marcella Brusa,Andrea Comastri,Roberto Gilli,Cristian Vignali,Günther Hasinger,David B. Sanders,Nico Cappelluti,Chris Impey,Chris Impey,Anton M. Koekemoer,Giorgio Lanzuisi,Elisabeta Lusso,Elisabeta Lusso,Andrea Merloni,Mara Salvato,Yoshiaki Taniguchi,Jonathan R. Trump +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a rest-frame spectral stacking analysis of ~1000 X-ray sources detected in the XMM-COSMOS field was performed to investigate the iron K line properties of active galaxies beyond redshift z~1.6.

TL;DR: Simbol-X as mentioned in this paper is a French-Italian mission, with a participation of German laboratories, for X-ray astronomy in the wide 0.5-80 keV band, taking advantage of emerging technology in mirror manufacturing and spacecraft formation flying.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Contribution of AGN and Star-Forming Galaxies to the Mid-Infrared as Revealed by their Spectral Energy Distributions
Carlotta Gruppioni,Francesca Pozzi,M. Polletta,G. Zamorani,F. La Franca,N. Sacchi,Andrea Comastri,Lucia Pozzetti,C. Vignali,C. Lonsdale,Michael Rowan-Robinson,Jason Surace,David L. Shupe,F. Fang,I. Matute,S. Berta +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the broad-band Spectral Energy Distributions (SEDs) of the largest available highly (72%) complete spectroscopic sample of mid-infrared (MIR) selected galaxies and AGN at intermediate redshift are presented.
X-ray Source Counts in the XMM-COSMOS Survey
Nico Cappelluti,Günther Hasinger,Marcella Brusa,Andrea Comastri,G. Zamorani,Hans Böhringer,Hermann Brunner,Francesca Civano,Alexis Finoguenov,Fabrizio Fiore,Roberto Gilli,Richard E. Griffiths,Vincenzo Mainieri,I. Matute,Takamitsu Miyaji,John D. Silverman +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, the analysis of the source counts in the XMM-COSMOS survey using data of the first year of XMMNewton observations is presented, with a total of 1390 sources at least in one band.
