Journal ArticleDOI

The key role of coligands in novel ruthenium(II)-cyclopentadienyl bipyridine derivatives: Ranging from non-cytotoxic to highly cytotoxic compounds

TL;DR: Spectroscopic, electrochemical studies by cyclic voltammetry and density functional theory calculations allowed us to get some understanding on the electronic flow directions within the molecules and to find a possible clue concerning the structural features of coligands that can activate bipyridyl ligands toward an increased cytotoxic effect.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of Portuguese Centenarian Eating Habits, Nutritional Biomarkers, and Cardiovascular Risk: A Case Control Study.

TL;DR: Frequent consumption of red meat, cholesterol, and heme iron rich may contribute to obesity and increased CVR, observed in centenarians, although associated with sarcopenia, may be one of the keys to longevity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reversible coordinative chain transfer polymerization of styrene by rare earth borohydrides, chlorides/dialkylmagnesium systems

TL;DR: In this article, the ability of various rare earth borohydride and chloride complexes/n-butylethylmagnesium systems to operate styrene chain transfer polymerization in mild conditions has been assessed.
Journal ArticleDOI

A New Family of Styrene/Diene Rubbers

TL;DR: The insertion of single styrene units into polyisoprene was demonstrated using borohydrido rare earth/dialkylmagnesium systems in this paper, which yields a new family of styrene/diene copolymers (SBR rubbers).
