Effect of Corrosion Damage on the Flexural Performance of RC Beams Strengthened with FRCM Composites
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report on the flexural behavior of corrosion-damaged reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened with different fabric-reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) composites and show that FRCM composites governed the failure of the strengthened beams rather than the damage level to which the beam was subjected due to corrosion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acceptance Criteria for Tensile Characterization of Fabric-Reinforced Cementitious Matrix Systems for Concrete and Masonry Repair
Stefano De Santis,Houman Akbari Hadad,Francisco De Caso y Basalo,Gianmarco de Felice,Antonio Nanni +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new class of materials, Fabric Reinforced Cementitious Matrix (FRCM) composites, are used to repair and strengthen existing structures Mechanical performance varies widely based on the typ
Journal ArticleDOI
A review of recent advances in the science and technology of seawater-mixed concrete
TL;DR: A review of seawater-mixed concrete can be found in this paper, where the authors present a review of the last 16 years of research (2005-2021) on seawater mixed concrete.
Journal ArticleDOI
Strengthening of a reinforced concrete bridge with externally bonded steel reinforced polymer (SRP)
TL;DR: In this article, a steel reinforced polymer (SRP) was used to strengthen a bridge in accordance with AASHTO specifications, showing that the rehabilitation performed as predicted and therefore created the possibility to remove the bridge load posting.
