Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamic cell-adhesive microenvironments and their effect on myogenic differentiation.
TL;DR: Attachment, spreading and myogenic differentiation of C2C12 myoblasts strongly varied with the density of RGD at the surface, and Proliferation and myogenesis were further regulated by the time point at which RGD was presented to the cell, reaching highest levels when RGD exposure occurred ≥6 h after cell seeding.
Journal ArticleDOI
4D Biomaterials for Light‐Guided Angiogenesis
TL;DR: The materials presented here represent unique microenvironments to reconstruct dynamic changes in the composition of the extracellular space of cells that occur in in vivo tissues.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dopamine-Based Coatings and Hydrogels: Toward Substitution-Related Structure-Property Relationships
Jiaxi Cui,Jagoba Iturri,Julieta I. Paez,Zahid Shafiq,Cristina Serrano,Marco d'Ischia,Aránzazu del Campo +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of substitutions of 6-chloro and 6-nitro substituents on the thickness, homogeneity, and general properties of polycatechol-functionalized PEG-hydrogels is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Photolabile BAPTA-Based Ca2+ Cages with Improved Photorelease
TL;DR: The efficient synthesis, physicochemical and photolytical properties of a photoactivable BAPTA-based Ca(2+) cage containing two photosensitive o-nitrobenzhydryl groups attached to the aromatic core are described and a general strategy to improve light-triggered Ca( 2+) release is demonstrated.
Journal ArticleDOI
4D hydrogel for dynamic cell culture with orthogonal, wavelength-dependent mechanical and biochemical cues
Yijun Zheng,Mitchell K. L. Han,Qiyang Jiang,Qiyang Jiang,Bin Li,Jun Feng,Jun Feng,Aránzazu del Campo,Aránzazu del Campo +8 more
TL;DR: A hydrogel for 4D cell culture which allows user-defined stiffening of the cellular environment and presentation of bioadhesive cues in an orthogonal manner using light of different wavelengths is described.
