Journal ArticleDOI

NK cells link obesity-induced adipose stress to inflammation and insulin resistance

TL;DR: Deficiency of NK cells, NCR1 or IFN-γ prevented the accumulation of proinflammatory macrophages in VAT and greatly ameliorated insulin sensitivity, and NK cells are key regulators of macrophage polarization and insulin resistance in response to obesity-induced adipocyte stress.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mouse TIGIT inhibits NK-cell cytotoxicity upon interaction with PVR

TL;DR: It is shown that TIGIT is a powerful inhibitory receptor for mouse NK cells and binds to mPVR with higher affinity than the co‐stimulatory PVR‐binding receptor mouse DNAM1 (mDNAM1).
Journal ArticleDOI

Improving Survival Rates in Two Models of Spontaneous Postoperative Metastasis in Mice by Combined Administration of a β-Adrenergic Antagonist and a Cyclooxygenase-2 Inhibitor

TL;DR: Overall, propranolol and etodolac administration, which could be applied perioperatively in most cancer patients with minimal risk and low cost, has counteracted several immunologic and endocrinologic perturbations and improved recurrence-free survival rates in mice undergoing primary tumor excision.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recognition and Prevention of Tumor Metastasis by the NK Receptor NKp46/NCR1

TL;DR: In vivo, in this study, it is shown in vivo that NKp46/NCR1 plays an important role in controlling B16 and D122 metastasis, the first evidence for the direct involvement of a specific NK killer receptor in preventing tumor metastasis.
