Journal ArticleDOI

Host- rather than virus-related factors reduce health-related quality of life in hepatitis C virus infection

TL;DR: Host and environmental, rather than viral factors, seem to impact on HRQOL level in anti-HCV-positive subjects, and this decrease was clinically important for the SF-36 vitality score.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cost-effectiveness analysis of sofosbuvir compared to current standard treatment in Swiss patients with chronic hepatitis C.

TL;DR: From a Swiss health care system perspective, treatment of mixed cohorts of cirrhotic and non-cirrhotic patients with chronic hepatitis C genotypes 1–4 with sofosbuvir-containing treatment versus standard treatment would be cost-effective if a threshold of CHF 100,000 per QALY was assumed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intraoperative sonography in patients with colorectal cancer and resectable liver metastases on preoperative FDG-PET-CT.

TL;DR: Combined fluorine 18‐fluorodeoxyglucose–positron emission tomography–CT imaging has been shown to be of good diagnostic value in the preoperative evaluation of patients with colorectal cancer and liver metastases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Visualization of hepatitis E virus RNA and proteins in the human liver

TL;DR: In this article, a panel of 12 different antibodies against HEV open reading frame (ORF) 1-3 proteins was evaluated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and two probes for in situ hybridization (ISH) in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) HuH7 cells transfected with HEV ORF1-3 expression vectors.
