Journal ArticleDOI
Assembly of microarrays for genome-wide measurement of DNA copy number.
Antoine M. Snijders,Norma J. Nowak,Richard Segraves,Stephanie Blackwood,Nils Brown,Jeffrey M. Conroy,Greg Hamilton,Anna Katherine Hindle,Bing Huey,Karen Kimura,Sindy Law,Ken Myambo,Joel Palmer,Bauke Ylstra,Jingzhu Pearl Yue,Joe W. Gray,Ajay N. Jain,Daniel Pinkel,Donna G. Albertson +18 more
TL;DR: The arrays provide precise measurement in cell lines and clinical material, so that they can reliably detect and quantify high-level amplifications and single-copy alterations in diploid, polyploid and heterogeneous backgrounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
The stromal proteinase MMP3/stromelysin-1 promotes mammary carcinogenesis.
Mark D. Sternlicht,André Lochter,Carolyn J. Sympson,Bing Huey,Jean-Philippe Rougier,Joe W. Gray,Daniel Pinkel,Mina J. Bissell,Zena Werb +8 more
TL;DR: P phenotypically normal mammary epithelial cells with tetracycline-regulated expression of MMP3/stromelysin-1 (Str1) form epithelial glandular structures in vivo without Str1 but form invasive mesenchymal-like tumors with Str1, indicating that Str1 influences tumor initiation and alters neoplastic risk.
Journal ArticleDOI
Changes in Abundance of Oral Microbiota Associated with Oral Cancer
Brian L. Schmidt,Justin Kuczynski,Aditi Bhattacharya,Bing Huey,Patricia Corby,Erica Queiroz,Kira Nightingale,A. Ross Kerr,Mark D. DeLacure,Ratna Veeramachaneni,Adam B. Olshen,Donna G. Albertson,Muy-Teck Teh +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated changes in the microbiome associated with oral cancers, profiled cancers and anatomically matched contralateral normal tissue from the same patient by sequencing 16S rDNA hypervariable region amplicons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mapping segmental and sequence variations among laboratory mice using BAC array CGH.
Antoine M. Snijders,Norma J. Nowak,Bing Huey,Jane Fridlyand,Sindy Law,Jeffrey M. Conroy,Taku Tokuyasu,Kubilay Demir,Readman Chiu,Jian-Hua Mao,Ajay N. Jain,Steven J.M. Jones,Allan Balmain,Daniel Pinkel,Donna G. Albertson +14 more
TL;DR: It is shown that small ratio changes distinguish homozygous and heterozygous regions of the genome in interspecific backcross mice, providing an efficient method for genotyping progeny of backcrosses.
Journal Article
Difluoromethylornithine chemoprevention of epidermal carcinogenesis in K14-HPV16 transgenic mice.
Jeffrey M. Arbeit,Rebeccah R. Riley,Bing Huey,Carl W. Porter,Gary J. Kelloff,Ronald A. Lubet,Jerrold M. Ward,Daniel Pinkel +7 more
TL;DR: The results in chest skin were complex in that the severity of chest precursors diminished, but their incidence was unchanged, and microscopic cancers were still detectable within these lesions, which highlights the utility of multistage epidermal carcinogenesis in K14-HPV16 transgenic mice.
