Journal ArticleDOI
Isolation of coumarins and ferulate from the roots of Angelica purpuraefolia and the antitumor activity of khellactone.
Hyeong-Kyu Lee,Sei-Ryang Oh,Ok-Kyoung Kwon,Kyoung-Seop Ahn,Joongku Lee,Jin-Cheol Kim,Byung Sun Min,Hyouk Joung +7 more
TL;DR: A new coumarin, hydroxylomatin (1), was isolated from the CHCl3‐soluble fraction of the roots of Angelica purpuraefolia, along with one ferulate and three other known coumarins including khellactone (3), which inhibited LLC tumor growth and suppressed the growth of NCI‐H460 tumor cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Asterosaponins isolated from the starfish Asterias amurensis.
In Hyun Hwang,Dong Woo Kim,Su-Jeong Kim,Byung Sun Min,Seung Ho Lee,Jong Keun Son,Cheorl-Ho Kim,Hyeun Wook Chang,MinKyun Na +8 more
TL;DR: Three new asterosaponins 1-3 and four known saponins 4-7 have been isolated from the starfish Asterias amurensis LÜTKEN by means of high magnetic field 1D- and 2D-NMR analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Four New Lignans and IL-2 Inhibitors from Magnoliae Flos.
Thi Tuyet Mai Nguyen,Hyun-Su Lee,Hyun-Su Lee,Thi Thu Nguyen,Thi Quynh-Mai Ngo,Chang-Duk Jun,Byung Sun Min,Jeong Ah Kim +7 more
TL;DR: The structures of the isolates were elucidated using spectroscopic analysis, mainly one- and two-dimensional NMR, high resolution-MS, and circular dichroism techniques as well as Mosher's esterification method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fatty Acid Synthase Inhibitory Activity of Acylphloroglucinols Isolated from Dryopteris crassirhizoma.
MinKyun Na,Jun-Pil Jang,Byung Sun Min,Lee Sang Jun,Myung Sun Lee,Bo Yeon Kim,Won Keun Oh,Jong Seog Ahn +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a bioassay-guided fractionation of a MeOH extract of the rhizomes of Dryopteris crassirhizoma (Dryopteridaceae), using an in vitro FAS inhibitory assay, resulted in the isolation of a series of acylphloroglucinols, as the active principles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hepatoprotective effect of Cassia obtusifolia seed extract and constituents against oxidative damage induced by tert-butyl hydroperoxide in human hepatic HepG2 cells
TL;DR: Overall, COE displayed a significant cytoprotective effect against oxidative stress, which may most likely be because of active compounds like cassiaside, alaternin, and aloe emodin in COE, which leads to maintenance of the normal redox status of cells.
