Atopic characteristics of children with recurrent wheezing at high risk for the development of childhood asthma
Theresa W. Guilbert,Wayne J. Morgan,Robert S. Zeiger,Robert S. Zeiger,Leonard B. Bacharier,Susan J. Boehmer,Marzena E. Krawiec,Gary L. Larsen,Robert F. Lemanske,Andrew H. Liu,David T. Mauger,C.A. Sorkness,Stanley J. Szefler,Robert C. Strunk,Lynn M. Taussig,Fernando D. Martinez +15 more
TL;DR: The high prevalence of aeroallergen sensitization in this high-risk cohort suggests that aero allergens might have an important role in the early development of asthma in toddlers with episodic wheezing.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In children with mild‐to‐moderate persistent asthma treated with daily inhaled glucocorticoids, quintupling the dose at the early signs of loss of asthma control did not reduce the rate of severe asthma exacerbations or improve other asthma outcomes and may be associated with diminished linear growth.
Journal ArticleDOI
Validating self reported home safety practices in a culturally diverse non-inner city population.
P. M. Hatfield,Anthony G. Staresinic,C.A. Sorkness,N. M. Peterson,Joseph Schirmer,Murray L. Katcher +5 more
