Journal ArticleDOI

Casein kinase 1 delta regulates the pace of the mammalian circadian clock.

TL;DR: CK1δ plays an unexpectedly important role in maintaining the 24-h circadian cycle length, and disruption of the gene encoding CK1ε did not alter these circadian endpoints.
Journal ArticleDOI

C/EBPalpha regulation of the growth-arrest-associated gene gadd45.

TL;DR: It is reported here that growth arrest- and DNA damage-inducible gene 45 (gadd45) is preferentially expressed in differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes similar to phenotype-associated genes, suggesting that postmitotic growth arrest is coupled to adipocyte differentiation via C/EBPalpha stimulation of growth arrest and phenotype- associated genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fast Delayed Rectifier Potassium Current: Critical for Input and Output of the Circadian System

TL;DR: Together, these data are consistent with the hypothesis that the FDR current is critical for the generation of robust circadian rhythms in behavior as well as the synchronization of the circadian system to the photic environment.

Letter to the Editor Integrating Genomics Research throughout the Undergraduate Curriculum: A Collection of Inquiry-Based Genomics Lab Modules

TL;DR: The goal of the project was to create and disseminate self-contained curricular units that stimulate students and faculty alike to think in new ways and at different scales of biological inquiry, and to develop a set of lab modules containing a substantial genomics component.
