Childhood and adolescent psychotic experiences and risk of mental disorder: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
TL;DR: A meta-analysis confirms that PEs are prevalent in childhood and adolescent community samples and are associated with a variety of mental disorders beyond psychotic disorders.
Journal ArticleDOI
Childhood trauma and adult mental disorder: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of longitudinal cohort studies
Michael T. McKay,Mary Cannon,Mary Cannon,Derek Chambers,Ronan M. Conroy,Helen Coughlan,Philip Dodd,Colm Healy,Laurie O'Donnell,Mary Clarke +9 more
TL;DR: Evidence for the association between trauma experienced in childhood or adolescence, and the subsequent experience of affective or psychotic mental disorders in adulthood, is reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lisa Cipolotti,Barbara Spanò,Colm Healy,Carina Tudor-Sfetea,Edgar Chan,Mark White,Francesca Biondo,John S. Duncan,Tim Shallice,Marco Bozzali +9 more
TL;DR: It is found that PFC patients were significantly impaired compared with healthy comparison group (HC) on both suppression measures of the Hayling and on the Stroop, even when performance on a fluid intelligence test was covaried, suggesting that the two tests may involve different kinds of inhibition.
