Neurovascular coupling in health and disease: lessons from transgenic mice

TL;DR: The contributions to this field provided by transgenic mouse models are reviewed, focusing on the role of nitric oxide and cyclooxygenase in cerebral cortex and/or cerebellum and the alterations in functional hyperemia produced by β-amyloid are examined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Early postnatal exposure to methylphenidate alters stress reactivity and increases hippocampal ectopic granule cells in adult rats.

TL;DR: It is indicated that early postnatal exposure to high therapeutic doses of MPH can have long lasting effects on the plasticity of select brain regions and can induce changes in the reactivity to stress that persist into adulthood.
