The X-ray properties of $z>6$ quasars: no evident evolution of accretion physics in the first Gyr of the Universe
Fabio Vito,W. N. Brandt,Franz E. Bauer,Franz E. Bauer,Franz E. Bauer,Francesco Calura,Roberto Gilli,Bin Luo,Ohad Shemmer,Cristian Vignali,Gianni Zamorani,Marcella Brusa,Francesca Civano,Andrea Comastri,Riccardo Nanni +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, Chandra observations of 10 $z>6$ QSOs, selected to have virial black-hole mass estimates from Mg II line spectroscopy, were used to investigate the X-ray properties of the QSO population in the first Gyr of the Universe, focusing in particular on the $L_{UV}-L_{X}$ relation, which is traced by the $\alpha_{ox}$ parameter, and the shape of their Xray spectra.
Journal ArticleDOI
BeppoSAX observations of Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 galaxies. II. Ionized iron features in Arakelian 564
Andrea Comastri,G. M. Stirpe,Cristian Vignali,W. N. Brandt,Karen M. Leighly,Fabrizio Fiore,Fabrizio Fiore,Matteo Guainazzi,Giorgio Matt,Fabrizio Nicastro,E. M. Puchnarewicz,Aneta Siemiginowska +11 more
TL;DR: The BeppoSAX observations of the bright Narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxy Ark 564 are presented along with a high quality optical spectrum taken at the 1.5m telescope at La Silla.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quasars as standard candles II. The non-linear relation between UV and X-ray emission at high redshifts
Francesco Salvestrini,Guido Risaliti,Guido Risaliti,Susanna Bisogni,Susanna Bisogni,Elisabeta Lusso,Elisabeta Lusso,Elisabeta Lusso,Cristian Vignali +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the L X −L UV relation was studied for a sample of quasars in the redshift range 4' or XMM-Newton, for which a full spectral analysis was performed, determining the rest-frame 2 keV flux density, as well as more general X-ray properties such as the estimate of photon index, and the soft (0.5 −2 keV) and hard (2 −10 keV ) unabsorbed luminosities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular outflow and feedback in the obscured Quasar XID2028 revealed by ALMA
Marcella Brusa,Marcella Brusa,Giovanni Cresci,Emanuele Daddi,Rosita Paladino,Michele Perna,A. Bongiorno,Elisabeta Lusso,Mark Sargent,Viviana Casasola,Chiara Feruglio,Filippo Fraternali,Iskren Y. Georgiev,V. Mainieri,Stefano Carniani,Andrea Comastri,F. Duras,Fabrizio Fiore,Filippo Mannucci,Alessandro Marconi,Alessandro Marconi,Enrico Piconcelli,G. Zamorani,Roberto Gilli,F. La Franca,Giorgio Lanzuisi,Giorgio Lanzuisi,Dieter Lutz,Paola Santini,N. Z. Scoville,Cristian Vignali,Cristian Vignali,Francesco Di Vito,Sebastian Rabien,Lorenzo Busoni,Marco Bonaglia +35 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an obscured QSO at z = 1.593 was detected in the CO(5-4) transition and in the 1.3mm continuum, with both emissions confined in the central (<4 kpc) radius area.
Journal ArticleDOI
The XXL Survey: XXVII. The 3XLSS point source catalogue
L. Chiappetti,Sotiria Fotopoulou,Christopher Lidman,L. Faccioli,Florian Pacaud,Andrii Elyiv,Andrii Elyiv,Stéphane Paltani,Marguerite Pierre,Manolis Plionis,C. Adami,Sinan Aliş,Bruno Altieri,Ivan K. Baldry,M. Bolzonella,Angela Bongiorno,Michael J. I. Brown,Simon P. Driver,E. Elmer,P. Franzetti,Meiert W. Grootes,V. Guglielmo,V. Guglielmo,A. Iovino,Elias Koulouridis,J. P. Lefevre,Jochen Liske,Sophie Maurogordato,O. Melnyk,O. Melnyk,Matt S. Owers,Matt S. Owers,Bianca M. Poggianti,Maria del Carmen Polletta,Maria del Carmen Polletta,E. Pompei,Trevor J. Ponman,Aaron S. G. Robotham,T. Sadibekova,Richard J. Tuffs,Ivan Valtchanov,Cristian Vignali,Cristian Vignali,Glenn Wagner +43 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the version of the point source catalogue of the XXL Survey that was used, in part, in the first series of XXL papers, and present the basic properties of the X-ray point sources and their counterparts.
