Dust spectral energy distributions of nearby galaxies: an insight from the Herschel Reference Survey
Laure Ciesla,Médéric Boquien,Alessandro Boselli,V. Buat,Luca Cortese,George J. Bendo,Sebastien Heinis,Maud Galametz,Stephen Anthony Eales,Matthew Smith,Maarten Baes,Simone Bianchi,I. De Looze,S. di Serego Alighieri,Frédéric Galliano,Thomas M. Hughes,S. C. Madden,Daniele Pierini,A. Rémy-Ruyer,L. Spinoglio,Mattia Vaccari,Sébastien Viaene,Catherine Vlahakis +22 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived the dust properties of galaxies in a volume limited, K-band selected sample, the Herschel Reference Survey (HRS), from Spitzer, WISE, IRAS, and Herschel for all of the HRS galaxies.
Journal ArticleDOI
The dust scaling relations of the Herschel Reference Survey
Luca Cortese,Laure Ciesla,Alessandro Boselli,Simone Bianchi,Haley Louise Gomez,Matthew Smith,George J. Bendo,Stephen Anthony Eales,Michael Pohlen,Maarten Baes,Edvige Corbelli,Jonathan Ivor Davies,Thomas M. Hughes,Leslie K. Hunt,Suzanne C. Madden,Daniele Pierini,S. di Serego Alighieri,Stefano Zibetti,Médéric Boquien,David L. Clements,A. Cooray,Maud Galametz,Laura Magrini,Ciro Pappalardo,L. Spinoglio,Catherine Vlahakis +25 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors combine new Herschel/SPIRE sub-millimeter observations with existing multiwavelength data to investigate the dust scaling relations of the Herschel Reference Survey, a magnitude-, volume-limited sample of similar to 300 nearby galaxies in different environments.

TL;DR: In this paper, a set of infrared (IR) photometric data from 8 to 500 microns (Spitzer, WISE, IRAS and Herschel) for all of the HRS galaxies was gathered and the output parameters for all the galaxies: the minimum intensity of the interstellar radiation field (ISRF), the fraction of PAH, the relative contribution of PDR and evolved stellar population to the dust heating, the $M{dust}$ and the $L_{IR}$.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cold dust in late-type Virgo Cluster galaxies
Cristina Popescu,Cristina Popescu,Richard J. Tuffs,H. J. Voelk,Daniele Pierini,Barry F. Madore +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, spatially integrated far-infrared (FIR) emissions of the complete volume and luminosity-limited sample of late-type (later than S0) Virgo cluster galaxies measured using the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) by Tuffs et al. in bands centered on 60, 100 and 170 microns.
