Global Λ hyperon polarization in nuclear collisions

L. Adamczyk, +341 more
- 23 Jan 2017 -
TL;DR: In this article, an alignment between the global angular momentum of a non-central collision and the spin of emitted particles is presented, revealing that the fluid produced in heavy ion collisions is the most vortical system so far observed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Valley splitting and polarization by the Zeeman effect in monolayer MoSe2.

TL;DR: This work has measured circularly polarized photoluminescence in monolayer MoSe2 under perpendicular magnetic fields up to 10 T and the magnitude of the Zeeman shift agrees with predicted magnetic moments for carriers in the conduction and valence bands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stacking-dependent band gap and quantum transport in trilayer graphene

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate the dramatically different transport properties in trilayer graphene with different stacking orders, and the unexpected spontaneous gap opening in charge neutral r-TLG, which is a signature of the Lifshitz transition, a topological change in the Fermi surface.
Journal ArticleDOI

New First Order Raman-active Modes in Few Layered Transition Metal Dichalcogenides

TL;DR: It is now possible to precisely identify few-layered STMD and new high frequency first order A′1 and A1g modes appear, explaining recently reported experimental data for WSe2, MoSe2 and MoS2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the J/psi meson and b-hadron production cross sections in p(p)over-bar collisions at root s=1960 GeV RID C-1693-2008 RID G-1087-2011 RID E-4473-2011

Darin Acosta, +643 more
- 03 Feb 2005 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a new measurement of the inclusive and differential production cross sections of mesons and hadrons in proton-antiproton collisions at the CDF run II detector.
