Journal ArticleDOI
Single-Cell Transcriptomics of Human and Mouse Lung Cancers Reveals Conserved Myeloid Populations across Individuals and Species.
Rapolas Zilionis,Rapolas Zilionis,Camilla Engblom,Christina Pfirschke,Virginia Savova,David Zemmour,Hatice D. Saatcioglu,Indira Krishnan,Indira Krishnan,Giorgia Maroni,Giorgia Maroni,Giorgia Maroni,Claire V. Meyerovitz,Clara M. Kerwin,Sun Choi,William G. Richards,Assunta De Rienzo,Daniel G. Tenen,Daniel G. Tenen,Raphael Bueno,Elena Levantini,Elena Levantini,Elena Levantini,Mikael J. Pittet,Allon M. Klein +24 more
TL;DR: The lung TIM landscape is determined and sets the stage for future investigations into the potential of TIMs as immunotherapy targets by using single-cell RNA sequencing to map TIMs in non-small-cell lung cancer patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancement of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Repopulating Capacity and Self-Renewal in the Absence of the Transcription Factor C/EBPα
Pu Zhang,Junko Iwasaki-Arai,Hiromi Iwasaki,Maris Fenyus,Tajhal Dayaram,Bronwyn M. Owens,Hirokazu Shigematsu,Elena Levantini,Claudia S. Huettner,Julie A. Lekstrom-Himes,Koichi Akashi,Daniel G. Tenen +11 more
TL;DR: Disruption of C/EBP alpha blocks the transition from the common myeloid to the granulocyte/monocyte progenitor but is not required beyond this stage for terminal granulocytes maturation, supporting the notion that disruption of EBP alpha cooperates with other events in the development of leukemia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dysregulation of the C/EBPα Differentiation Pathway in Human Cancer
TL;DR: In patients with a dysfunctional C/EBPalpha pathway, targeted therapies may overcome the block in differentiation, and in combination with conventional chemotherapy, may lead to complete eradication of the malignant clone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Requirement of the NF-κB Subunit p65/RelA for K-Ras–Induced Lung Tumorigenesis
TL;DR: The importance of the NF-kappaB subunit p65/RelA in K-Ras-induced lung transformation is shown and IKKbeta is identified as a potential therapeutic target for K- Ras- induced lung cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
C/EBPa controls acquisition and maintenance of adult haematopoietic stem cell quiescence
Min Ye,Hong Zhang,Hong Zhang,Giovanni Amabile,Giovanni Amabile,Henry Yang,Philipp B. Staber,Pu Zhang,Elena Levantini,Elena Levantini,Elena Levantini,Meritxell Alberich-Jorda,Meritxell Alberich-Jorda,Junyan Zhang,Akira Kawasaki,Daniel G. Tenen,Daniel G. Tenen +16 more
TL;DR: The data establish C/EBPa as a central determinant in the switch from fetal to adult HSCs, and observe that age-specific Cebpa expression correlated with its inhibitory effect on the HSC cell cycle.
