Variability of marine 14C reservoir ages in the Southern Ocean highlighting circulation changes between 1910 and 1950

TL;DR: In this article, a simple box model of ocean-atmosphere 14CO2 exchange was used to analyze the 14C of mollusk shells from Kerguelen Islands and found that the radiocarbon reservoir ages in the southern South Indian ranged from 832 to 1005 (±30) years between 1910 and 1930.

Calibration of δ 18 O of laboratory-cultured deep-sea benthic foraminiferal shells in function of temperature

TL;DR: In this article, the calibration of δO of laboratory-cultured deep-sea benthic foraminiferal shells in function of temperature C. Barras, J.-C. Duplessy, E. Michel, and F. Jorissen Laboratory of Recent and Fossil Bio-Indicators (BIAF) is presented.
Posted ContentDOI

Simulating the growth and distribution of planktic foraminifer using an ecophysiological multi-species model

TL;DR: This work presents a meta-modelling framework for estimating the contributions of E.F. Lombard, L. Labeyrie, E. Bopp, S. Retailleau, H. Howa, and F. Jorissen’s assessments of LSCE/IPSL and its applications to climate change and bio-indicators research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Onset and demise of coral reefs, relationship with regional ocean circulation on the Wyville Thomson Ridge

TL;DR: In this paper, a vibrocore collected on the northern edge of the Scottish continental shelf at around 300m water depth, on the Wyville Thomson Ridge, enables to reconstruct the history of cold water coral reef growth and demise during the Holocene period.
