TL;DR: Clinical success is best achieved in patients undergoing closure of perforations or leaks when OTSC is used for primary or rescue therapy, and type of defect is the best predictor of successful long-term closure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of gliadin on permeability of intestinal biopsy explants from celiac disease patients and patients with non-celiac gluten sensitivity.
Justin R. Hollon,Elaine L. Leonard Puppa,Bruce D. Greenwald,Eric Goldberg,Anthony L. Guerrerio,Alessio Fasano +5 more
TL;DR: Following gliadin exposure, both patients with gluten sensitivity and those with active celiac disease demonstrate a greater increase in intestinal permeability than celiacs in disease remission.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acute Abdominal Pain
Mark Flasar,Eric Goldberg +1 more
TL;DR: Outpatient physicians must have an understanding of the mechanisms of abdominal pain, as well as the common gastrointestinal causes that carry potentially higher morbidity and mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of Lesions During Capsule Endoscopy: Physician Performance Is Disappointing
TL;DR: Overall, the detection rates in this study are lower than previously reported and not influenced by increasing experience, and increasing viewing speed from QuadView 20 to QuadView 30 appears to have no significant effect on detection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Time-limited fluoroscopy to reduce radiation exposure during ERCP: a prospective randomized trial
TL;DR: This study found that, after controlling for the impact of confounding factors, time-limited fluoroscopy significantly decreases FTs, and, therefore, no significant difference between groups was found.
