Journal ArticleDOI
The intracellular HBV DNAs as novel and sensitive biomarkers for the clinical diagnosis of occult HBV infection in HBeAg negative hepatocellular carcinoma in China.
TL;DR: By Kaplan-Meier analysis, patients with OBI were associated with a lower risk of cirrhosis and better overall survival (OS), and intracellular HBV DNAs, such as HBV cccDNA and tDNA are valuable biological markers for the diagnosis of occult HBV infection in HCC patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transarterial chemoembolization combined with Jie-du granule preparation improves the survival outcomes of patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma.
TL;DR: It is shown that patients with unresectable HCC who were administered TACE-JD survived significantly longer compared with those administer TACE or Tace-SOR, and independent predictors of OS were treatment allocation, Child-Pugh class large tumor, albumin and extrahepatic metastasis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long‐Term Survival Outcomes After Liver Resection for Binodular Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Multicenter Cohort Study
Ming-Da Wang,Chao Li,Jun Li,Wan-Guang Zhang,Wei-Qin Jiang,Jiong-Jie Yu,Hao Xing,Han Wu,Jun Han,Zhen-Li Li,Xin-Fei Xu,Ting-Hao Chen,Ya-Hao Zhou,Wei-Min Gu,Hong Wang,Yongyi Zeng,Yao-Ming Zhang,Timothy M. Pawlik,Wan Yee Lau,Wan Yee Lau,Meng-Chao Wu,Jia-mei Yang,Feng Shen,Tian Yang +23 more
TL;DR: Liver resection was safe and feasible in patients with binodular hepatocellular carcinoma, with acceptable perioperative and long-term outcomes, and sum of two tumor sizes, size ratio and distribution, and distance between two nodules were independent risk factors associated with long- term survival outcomes after surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI
A case-control study of correlation between preoperative serum AFP and recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma after curative hepatectomy.
TL;DR: Preoperative AFP level is an independent prognostic factor affecting postoperative recurrence in HCC patients and correlated with the TTR of TNM II.
Journal ArticleDOI
Discordance in prediction of prognosis among patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma: A preoperative vs postoperative perspective
Amika Moro,Anghela Z. Paredes,Ayesha Farooq,Kota Sahara,Kota Sahara,Diamantis I. Tsilimigras,Rittal Mehta,Itaru Endo,Alfredo Guglielmi,Luca Aldrighetti,Sorin Alexandrescu,Hugo Marques,Feng Shen,Bas Groot Koerkamp,Kazunari Sasaki,Timothy M. Pawlik +15 more
TL;DR: Patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma undergoing curative‐intent surgery with discordant preoperative and postoperative prediction scores are characterized and factors associated with prediction discrepancy are determined.
