Aspirin versus Placebo in Pregnancies at High Risk for Preterm Preeclampsia
Daniel L. Rolnik,David Wright,Liona C. Poon,Neil O'Gorman,Argyro Syngelaki,Catalina De Paco Matallana,Ranjit Akolekar,Simona Cicero,D. Janga,Mandeep Singh,Francisca S. Molina,Nicola Persico,Nicola Persico,Jacques Jani,Walter Plasencia,G. Papaioannou,Kinneret Tenenbaum-Gavish,Hamutal Meiri,Sveinbjörn Gizurarson,Kate Maclagan,Kypros H. Nicolaides +20 more
TL;DR: Treatment with low‐dose aspirin in women at high risk for preterm preeclampsia resulted in a lower incidence of this diagnosis than placebo, and there were no significant between‐group differences in the incidence of neonatal adverse outcomes or other adverse events.
Journal ArticleDOI
ASPRE trial: performance of screening for preterm pre‐eclampsia
Daniel L. Rolnik,David Wright,Liona C. Poon,Liona C. Poon,Argyro Syngelaki,Neil O'Gorman,C. de Paco Matallana,Ranjit Akolekar,S. Cicero,D. Janga,Mandeep Singh,Francisca S. Molina,Nicola Persico,Jacques Jani,Walter Plasencia,G. Papaioannou,Kinneret Tenenbaum-Gavish,Kypros H. Nicolaides +17 more
TL;DR: The performance of screening for preterm and term pre‐eclampsia (PE) in the study population participating in the ASPRE (Combined Multimarker Screening and Randomized Patient Treatment with Aspirin for Evidence‐Based Preeclampsian Prevention) trial is examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Screening for pre-eclampsia by maternal factors and biomarkers at 11-13 weeks' gestation.
M.Y. Tan,M.Y. Tan,Argyro Syngelaki,Liona C. Poon,Liona C. Poon,Daniel L. Rolnik,Neil O'Gorman,Juan Luis Delgado,Ranjit Akolekar,L. Konstantinidou,M. Tsavdaridou,S. Galeva,Urszula Ajdacka,Francisca S. Molina,Nicola Persico,Jacques Jani,Walter Plasencia,Elena Greco,G. Papaioannou,AlanF Wright,David Wright,Kypros H. Nicolaides,Kypros H. Nicolaides +22 more
TL;DR: To examine the performance of screening for early, preterm and term pre‐eclampsia (PE) at 11–13 weeks' gestation by maternal factors and combinations of mean arterial pressure, uterine artery pulsatility index, serum placental growth factor, and serum pregnancy‐associated plasma protein‐A (PAPP‐A).
Journal ArticleDOI
Doxorubicin-PAMAM dendrimer complex attached to liposomes: cytotoxic studies against human cancer cell lines.
TL;DR: Liposomal formulations composed of lipids and of a drug-dendrimer complex could be characterized as modulatory liposomal controlled release system (MLCRS), and could provide benefits to the delivery of drugs and modulate their release.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aspirin for Evidence-Based Preeclampsia Prevention trial: effect of aspirin on length of stay in the neonatal intensive care unit
David Wright,Daniel L. Rolnik,Argyro Syngelaki,Catalina De Paco Matallana,Mirian Machuca,Mercedes de Alvarado,Sofia Mastrodima,M.Y. Tan,Siobhan Shearing,Nicola Persico,Jacques Jani,Walter Plasencia,G. Papaioannou,Francisca S. Molina,Liona C. Poon,Kypros H. Nicolaides +15 more
TL;DR: In pregnancies at high risk of preeclampsia administration of aspirin reduces the length of stay in the neonatal intensive care unit by about 70%.
