A spiral volume coil for improved RF field homogeneity at high static magnetic field strength
TL;DR: A coil design is presented that can reduce and even eliminate inhomogeneity within biological samples, and 4‐T images in phantoms and in the head of a normal volunteer are presented, which demonstrate improved homogeneity relative to a standard coil.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared high-resolution ex vivo MRI scans of human postmortem medial temporal lobe (MTL) specimens with histology-based pathological assessments of the MTL and found significant correlations between tau pathology and thickness in the entorhinal cortex and stratum radiatum lacunosum moleculare (SRLM).
