Carcinoma-Associated Fibroblast–Like Differentiation of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells

TL;DR: It is shown that human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells exposed to tumor-conditioned medium (TCM) over a prolonged period of time assume a CAF-like myofibroblastic phenotype, which suggests that hMSCs are a source of CAFs and can be used in the modeling of tumor-stroma interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Targeting MYCN in Neuroblastoma by BET Bromodomain Inhibition

TL;DR: A cell-based screen of genetically defined cancer cell lines using a prototypical inhibitor of BET bromodomains revealed a robust correlation between MYCN amplification and sensitivity to bromidomain inhibition, and characterized the mechanistic and translational significance of this finding in neuroblastoma.
