Journal ArticleDOI
Nanotechnology for COVID-19: Therapeutics and Vaccine Research.
Gaurav Chauhan,Marc J. Madou,Marc J. Madou,Sourav Kalra,Vianni Chopra,Deepa Ghosh,Sergio O. Martinez-Chapa +6 more
TL;DR: Recent as well as ongoing nanotechnology-based therapeutic and prophylactic strategies to fight against this pandemic are discussed, outlining the key areas for nanoscientists to step in.
Journal ArticleDOI
Collagen nanofiber containing silver nanoparticles for improved wound-healing applications
TL;DR: Electrospun nanofibers showing great promise for fabricating nanostructured materials might help to improve the quality of wound care and the rate of wound healing of the composite nanofiber mats was found to be accelerated compared with plain collagen nan ofibers.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Structural Basis of Accelerated Host Cell Entry by SARS-CoV-2 .
Murat Seyran,Murat Seyran,Kazuo Takayama,Vladimir N. Uversky,Kenneth Lundstrom,Giorgio Palù,Samendra P. Sherchan,Diksha Attrish,Nima Rezaei,Nima Rezaei,Alaa A. A. Sarif Hassan,Gajendra Kumar Azad,Pabitra Pal Choudhury,Wagner Baetas-da-Cruz,Ángel Serrano-Aroca,Adam Brufsky,Bruce D. Uhal +26 more
TL;DR: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pandemic capacity is derived from the unique structural features on its spike protein: fast viral surfing over the epithelium with flat N‐terminal domain, tight binding to ACE2 entry receptor, and furin protease utilization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development and characterization of cefazolin loaded zinc oxide nanoparticles composite gelatin nanofiber mats for postoperative surgical wounds.
TL;DR: In this article, a pre-clinical evaluation of cefazolin nanofiber mats loaded with zinc oxide (ZnO) and comparing co-formulated mats with individual component, enable a side by side comparison of the benefits of their intervention.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbon-Based Nanomaterials: Promising Antiviral Agents to Combat COVID-19 in the Microbial-Resistant Era.
Ángel Serrano-Aroca,Kazuo Takayama,Alberto Tuñón-Molina,Murat Seyran,Sk. Sarif Hassan,Pabitra Pal Choudhury,Vladimir N. Uversky,Kenneth Lundstrom,Parise Adadi,Giorgio Palù,Alaa A. A.
