TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a public legacy program of Spitzer IRAC+MIPS imaging of the ~1 square degree UKIDSS Ultra Deep Survey (UDS), which is the largest, deep near-infrared (JHK) survey in existence, and the first capable of sampling truly representative cosmological volumes (100x100 Mpc) out to the highest redshifts (z>6).
Book ChapterDOI
Starbursts Near and Far: An Overview
TL;DR: A survey of the conference participants produced a large list of “key” questions regarding starbursts, with little agreement on which ones are most important as discussed by the authors, but all of them are of great interest.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Characterization of the optical properties of the buried contact of the JWST MIRI Si: as infrared blocked impurity band detectors
TL;DR: In this paper, the shape and impact of fringes on spectra of optical sources observed with MIRI during ground testing were quantified and an optical model was developed to simulate the observed modulation.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
The MIRI Medium Resolution Spectrometer calibration pipeline
Alvaro Labiano,Ruymán Azzollini,Jeremy Bailey,Steven Beard,Dan Dicken,M. Garcia-Marin,Vincent Geers,Alistair Glasse,Adrian Glauser,Karl D. Gordon,Kay Justtanont,Pamela Klaassen,Fred Lahuis,David R. Law,Jane E. Morrison,M. Müller,George H. Rieke,Bart Vandenbussche,Gillian S. Wright +18 more
TL;DR: This paper provides a comprehensive description of the MRS Calibration Pipeline from uncalibrated slope images to final scientific products, with brief descriptions of its algorithms, input and output data, and the accessory data and calibration data products necessary to run the pipeline.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mid-IR Variability and Dust Reverberation Mapping of Low-$z$ Quasars. I. Data, Methods and Basic Results
TL;DR: In this article, a mid-IR dust reverberation mapping (RM) study of 87 archetypal Palomar-Green quasars at the WISE W1 and W2 bands was performed.
