Journal ArticleDOI
Manganese nitride complexes in oxidation states III, IV, and V: synthesis and electronic structure.
Henning Kropp,Amanda E. King,Marat M. Khusniyarov,Frank W. Heinemann,Kyle M. Lancaster,Serena DeBeer,Serena DeBeer,Eckhard Bill,Karsten Meyer +8 more
TL;DR: The synthesis and characterization of a series of manganese nitrides in a tripodal chelating tris(carbene) ligand framework is described, with results indicating that this Mn(IV) d(3) complex has a doublet electronic ground state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pentacene appended to a TEMPO stable free radical: the effect of magnetic exchange coupling on photoexcited pentacene.
Erin T. Chernick,Rubén Casillas,Johannes Zirzlmeier,Daniel M. Gardner,Marco Gruber,Henning Kropp,Karsten Meyer,Michael R. Wasielewski,Dirk M. Guldi,Rik R. Tykwinski +9 more
TL;DR: Time-resolved electron paramagnetic resonance experiments confirm that triplet quenching is accompanied by electron spin polarization transfer from the pentacene excited state to the TEMPO doublet state in the weak coupling regime.
Journal ArticleDOI
Coordination-induced spin-state change in manganese(V) complexes: the electronic structure of manganese(V) nitrides.
TL;DR: It is illustrated that manganese(V) nitrido complexes are able to undergo a coordination-induced spin-state change by altering the ligand field from trigonal to tetragonal symmetry.
