Journal ArticleDOI
T cell–derived inducible nitric oxide synthase switches off TH17 cell differentiation
Jianjun Yang,Ruihua Zhang,Geming Lu,Yu Shen,Liang Peng,Chen Zhu,Miao Cui,Weidong Wang,Paul M. Arnaboldi,Meng Tang,Monica Gupta,Chen Feng Qi,Padmini Jayaraman,Hongfa Zhu,Bo Jiang,Shu Hsia Chen,John Cijiang He,Adrian T. Ting,Ming-Ming Zhou,Vijay K. Kuchroo,Herbert C. Morse,Keiko Ozato,Andrew G. Sikora,Huabao Xiong +23 more
TL;DR: Nitric oxide derived from iNOS in activated T cells negatively regulates Th17 cell differentiation and thereby influences T cell differentiation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cellular Motor Protein KIF-4 Associates with Retroviral Gag
Tang Y,Ulrike Winkler,Eric O. Freed,Ted A. Torrey,Wankee Kim,Henry Li,Stephen P. Goff,Herbert C. Morse +7 more
TL;DR: The possibility that KIF-4 may play an important role in retrovirus Gag protein transport is raised, as it is demonstrated that murine retroviral Gag proteins associate with a cellular motor protein, Kif-4.
Journal ArticleDOI
IRF8 regulates myeloid and B lymphoid lineage diversification
Hongsheng Wang,Herbert C. Morse +1 more
TL;DR: The contributions of IRF8 to B cell development from hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow and its place in the hierarchical regulatory network governing specification and commitment to the B cell fate are reviewed.
Journal Article
Analysis of neoplasms induced by Cas-Br-M MuLV tumor extracts.
Kevin L. Holmes,Wallace Y. Langdon,T N Fredrickson,Robert L. Coffman,Paul M. Hoffman,Janet W. Hartley,Herbert C. Morse +6 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that in some instances (two of 12 tumor extracts tested), recombinant viruses can be recovered from primary Cas-Br-M-induced tumors that will induce lymphomas of single lineages in mice inoculated as newborns.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relationships between B cell and myeloid differentiation. Studies with a B lymphocyte progenitor line, HAFTL-1.
TL;DR: It is suggested that events resulting in the irrevocable commitment to a single lineage occur late in differentiation, at least within the pathway yielding Ly-1+ B cells and a proposed subpopulation of Ly- 1+ monocytes and macrophages.
