Journal ArticleDOI

Doxorubicin (adriamycin): a critical review of free radical-dependent mechanisms of cytotoxicity.

TL;DR: Free radical-independent cytotoxicity mechanisms, taking place in the nuclear compartment of the cell, may more likely be involved in the antitumor effect of doxorubicin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bioisosteric Replacements of the Pyrazole Moiety of Rimonabant: Synthesis, Biological Properties, and Molecular Modeling Investigations of Thiazoles, Triazoles, and Imidazoles as Potent and Selective CB1 Cannabinoid Receptor Antagonists

TL;DR: A structure-activity relationship (SAR) study revealed a close correlation between the biological results in the imidazole and pyrazole series and showed a close three-dimensional structural overlap between the key compound 62 and rimonabant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alloantigen recognition is preceded by nonspecific adhesion of cytotoxic T cells and target cells.

TL;DR: This work has demonstrated that conjugates of CTL's and target cells can be formed in the absence of specific antigen recognition, and indicates that nonspecific conjugate formation between C TL's andtarget cells precedes the recognition of specific antigens by the T-cell receptor.
