Pharmaceutical particle technologies: An approach to improve drug solubility, dissolution and bioavailability
Prakash Khadka,Jieun Ro,Hyeongmin Kim,Iksoo Kim,Jeong Tae Kim,Hyun-Il Kim,Jae Min Cho,Gyiae Yun,Jaehwi Lee +8 more
TL;DR: A review of solid particle technologies available for improving solubility, dissolution, and bioavailability of drugs with poor aqueous solubilities is presented in this article, where the authors highlight the solid particle technology available to improve the bioavailability.
Journal ArticleDOI
Broad-spectrum antiproliferative activity of a series of 6-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-(2-substituted pyrimidin-4-yl)imidazo[2,1- b ]thiazole derivatives
Mohammed S. Abdel-Maksoud,Mohammed S. Abdel-Maksoud,Mohammed I. El-Gamal,Mahmoud M. Gamal El-Din,Mahmoud M. Gamal El-Din,Seong-Shin Kwak,Hyun-Il Kim,Chang-Hyun Oh,Chang-Hyun Oh +8 more
TL;DR: This article described the synthesis and in vitro antiproliferative activities a series of 6-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-(2-substituted pyrimidin-4-yl)imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole derivatives, which were tested for in vitro antitumor effect against a panel of 55 cell lines of nine different cancer types at the NCI.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel amides and esters prodrugs of olmesartan: Synthesis, bioconversion, and pharmacokinetic evaluation
Jin-Hun Park,Jeong-Soo Chang,Mohammed I. El-Gamal,Mohammed I. El-Gamal,Won-Kyoung Choi,Woong San Lee,Hye Jin Chung,Hyun-Il Kim,Young-Jin Cho,Bong Sang Lee,Hong-Ryeol Jeon,Yong Sup Lee,Young Wook Choi,Jaehwi Lee,Chang-Hyun Oh,Chang-Hyun Oh +15 more
TL;DR: Compound IIa is proposed to be a promising prodrug of olmesartan and its in vitro stability in rat plasma showed that the ester derivative IIa with n-octyl substituted dioxolone moiety was rapidly converted into olmesartsan within 30 min.
Journal ArticleDOI
Discovery of olmesartan hexetil: a new potential prodrug of olmesartan.
Mohammed I. El-Gamal,Hanan S. Anbar,Hye Jin Chung,Hyun-Il Kim,Young-Jin Cho,Bong Sang Lee,Sun Ahe Lee,Ji Yun Moon,Dong Jin Lee,Dow Kwon,Won-Jai Choi,Hong-Ryeol Jeon,Chang-Hyun Oh,Chang-Hyun Oh +13 more
TL;DR: Olmesartan hexetil is proposed to be an efficient prodrug of olmesartsan with markedly increased oral bioavailability and C(max) and AUC(last) for olmesartans were significantly increased in case of hexetic prodrug, compared with olmesARTan medoxomil.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design, synthesis, bioconversion, and pharmacokinetics evaluation of new ester prodrugs of olmesartan
Jeong-Soo Chang,Mohammed I. El-Gamal,Mohammed I. El-Gamal,Mohammed I. El-Gamal,Woong San Lee,Hanan S. Anbar,Hye Jin Chung,Hyun-Il Kim,Young-Jin Cho,Bong Sang Lee,Sun Ahe Lee,Ji Yun Moon,Dong Jin Lee,Hong-Ryeol Jeon,Jaehwi Lee,Young Wook Choi,Chang-Hyun Oh,Chang-Hyun Oh +17 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that compounds 13 and 14 with cyclohexylcarboxyethyl and adamantyl carboxymethyl promoieties, respectively, are promising prodrugs of olmesartan with markedly increased oral bioavailability.
