Journal ArticleDOI
Novel Molecular Subtypes of Serous and Endometrioid Ovarian Cancer Linked to Clinical Outcome
Richard W. Tothill,Anna V. Tinker,Joshy George,Robert M Brown,Stephen B. Fox,Stephen Lade,Daryl S Johnson,Melanie Trivett,Dariush Etemadmoghadam,Bianca Locandro,Nadia Traficante,Sian Fereday,Jillian Hung,Yoke-Eng Chiew,Izhak Haviv,Dorota M. Gertig,Anna deFazio,David D.L. Bowtell +17 more
TL;DR: Gene expression profiling identified molecular subtypes of ovarian cancer of biological and clinical importance by gene expression profiling with linkage to clinical and pathologic features.
Journal ArticleDOI
Co-evolution of tumor cells and their microenvironment.
TL;DR: A thorough understanding of the co-evolution of these two cellular compartments will require carefully executed molecular studies combined with mathematical modeling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tracking the origins and drivers of subclonal metastatic expansion in prostate cancer
Matthew K.H. Hong,Geoff Macintyre,David C. Wedge,Peter Van Loo,Keval M. Patel,Sebastian Lunke,Ludmil B. Alexandrov,Clare Sloggett,Marek Cmero,Francesco Marass,Dana W.Y. Tsui,Stefano Mangiola,Andrew Lonie,Haroon Naeem,Nikhil Sapre,Pramit M. Phal,Natalie Kurganovs,Xiaowen Chin,Michael Kerger,Anne Y. Warren,David E. Neal,Vincent Gnanapragasam,Nitzan Rosenfeld,John Pedersen,Andrew Ryan,Izhak Haviv,Anthony J. Costello,Niall M. Corcoran,Christopher M. Hovens +28 more
TL;DR: The precise direction of metastatic spread is revealed across four lethal prostate cancer patients using whole-genome and ultra-deep targeted sequencing of longitudinally collected primary and metastatic tumours and analysis of mutations associated with metastasis reveals an enrichment of TP53 mutations.
Journal ArticleDOI
No evidence of clonal somatic genetic alterations in cancer-associated fibroblasts from human breast and ovarian carcinomas
Wen Qiu,Min Hu,Anita Sridhar,Kenneth Opeskin,Kenneth Opeskin,Stephen B. Fox,Michail Shipitsin,Melanie Trivett,Ella R. Thompson,Ella R. Thompson,Manasa Ramakrishna,Manasa Ramakrishna,Kylie L. Gorringe,Kornelia Polyak,Izhak Haviv,Izhak Haviv,Ian G. Campbell,Ian G. Campbell +17 more
TL;DR: The data show conclusively that LOH and copy number alterations are extremely rare in CAFs and cannot be the basis of the carcinoma-promoting phenotypes of breast and ovarian CAFs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Plasma Lipidomic Analysis of Stable and Unstable Coronary Artery Disease
Peter J. Meikle,Gerard Wong,Despina Tsorotes,Christopher K. Barlow,Jacquelyn M. Weir,Michael J. Christopher,Gemma L MacIntosh,Benjamin Goudey,Linda Stern,Adam Kowalczyk,Izhak Haviv,Anthony J. White,Anthony M. Dart,Stephen J. Duffy,Garry L. Jennings,Bronwyn A. Kingwell +15 more
TL;DR: Traditional risk factors for coronary artery disease (CAD) fail to adequately distinguish patients who have atherosclerotic plaques susceptible to instability from those who have more benign forms, so plasma lipid profiling may contribute to a new approach to risk stratification for unstable CAD.
