Observation of reactor electron antineutrinos disappearance in the RENO experiment.
J. K. Ahn,S. Chebotaryov,J. H. Choi,Seonho Choi,Wonshik Choi,Y. Choi,H. I. Jang,J. S. Jang,Eunju Jeon,I. S. Jeong,K. K. Joo,B. R. Kim,B. C. Kim,Hyun-Chul Kim,J. Y. Kim,S. B. Kim,S. H. Kim,S. Y. Kim,W. Kim,Yongsun Kim,J. S. H. Lee,Jaekwang Lee,I. T. Lim,K. J. Ma,M. Y. Pac,I. G. Park,Jong-Min Park,Kangsoon Park,J. W. Shin,K. Siyeon,B. S. Yang,I. S. Yeo,S. H. Yi,Intae Yu +33 more
TL;DR: The RENO experiment has observed the disappearance of reactor electron antineutrinos, consistent with neutrino oscillations, with a significance of 4.9 standard deviations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Achieving ZT=2.2 with Bi-doped n-type SnSe single crystals
Anh Tuan Duong,Van Quang Nguyen,Ganbat Duvjir,Van Thiet Duong,Suyong Kwon,Jae Yong Song,Jae Ki Lee,Ji Eun Lee,Su-Dong Park,Taewon Min,Jaekwang Lee,Jungdae Kim,Sunglae Cho +12 more
TL;DR: N- type SnSe single crystals were successfully synthesized by substituting Bi at Sn sites and it was found that the carrier concentration increases with Bi content, which has a great influence on the thermoelectric properties of n-type Sn Se single crystals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterned arrays of lateral heterojunctions within monolayer two-dimensional semiconductors.
Masoud Mahjouri-Samani,Ming-Wei Lin,Kai Wang,Andrew R. Lupini,Jaekwang Lee,Leonardo Basile,Abdelaziz Boulesbaa,Christopher M. Rouleau,Alexander A. Puretzky,Ilia N. Ivanov,Kai Xiao,Mina Yoon,David B. Geohegan +12 more
TL;DR: This demonstration of lateral heterojunction arrays within a monolayer crystal is an essential step for the integration of two-dimensional semiconductor building blocks with different electronic and optoelectronic properties for high-density, ultrathin devices.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atomically localized plasmon enhancement in monolayer graphene
Wu Zhou,Jaekwang Lee,Jaekwang Lee,Jagjit Nanda,Sokrates T. Pantelides,Sokrates T. Pantelides,Stephen J. Pennycook,Stephen J. Pennycook,Juan Carlos Idrobo,Juan Carlos Idrobo +9 more
TL;DR: A single point defect in graphene can act as an atomic antenna in the petahertz frequency range, leading to surface plasmon resonances at the sub-nanometre scale.
Journal ArticleDOI
Charge origin and localization at the n -type SrTiO 3 / LaAlO 3 interface
Jaekwang Lee,Alexander A. Demkov +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a density-functional theory at the LDA+U$ level was used to study the charge distribution of LaAlO and Srinivasan et al. showed that the quasi-two-dimensional nature of charge distribution is caused by a combination of the crystal-field effect, pseudo-Jahn-Teller distortion, and interface chemistry.
