Two Hundred Heterotic Standard Models on Smooth Calabi-Yau Threefolds

TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic search over complete intersection Calabi-Yau manifolds with less than six Kahler parameters leads to over 200 such models which are constructed by compactifying on smooth CalabiYau three-folds in the presence of purely Abelian internal gauge fields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heterotic line bundle standard models

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors construct the resulting standard models explicitly, compute their spectrum including Higgs multiplets, and analyze some of their basic properties, and explicitly compute the spectrum of allowed operators for each model and present the results, together with the defining data of the models, in a database of standard models accessible here.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exploring positive monad bundles and a new heterotic standard model

TL;DR: In this article, a complete analysis of all heterotic Calabi-Yau compactifications based on positive two-term monad bundles over favorable complete intersection Calabi Yau threefolds is performed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Does age matter? The impact of rodent age on study outcomes

TL;DR: It is highlighted that choice of age is inconsistent across the research community and often not based on the development or cellular ageing of the system being studied, which could potentially result in decreased scientific validity and increased experimental variability.
