The DESI Experiment Part I: Science,Targeting, and Survey Design

Amir Aghamousa, +291 more
TL;DR: DESI as discussed by the authors is a ground-based dark energy experiment that will study baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) and the growth of structure through redshift-space distortions with a wide-area galaxy and quasar redshift survey.

The DESI Experiment Part II: Instrument Design

Amir Aghamousa, +297 more
TL;DR: DESI (Dark Energy Spectropic Instrument) as mentioned in this paper is a ground-based dark energy experiment that will study baryon acoustic oscillations and the growth of structure through redshift-space distortions with a wide-area galaxy and quasar redshift survey.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly contiguous assemblies of 101 drosophilid genomes.

TL;DR: The authors used Oxford Nanopore sequencing to build an open community resource of genome assemblies for 101 lines of 93 drosophilid species encompassing 14 species groups and 35 sub-groups.

Highly contiguous assemblies of 101 drosophilid genomes

TL;DR: Oxford Nanopore sequencing is utilized to build an open community resource of high-quality assemblies for 101 lines of 95 drosophilid species encompassing 14 species groups and 35 sub-groups with an average contig N50 of 10.5 Mb and greater than 97% BUSCO completeness in 97/101 assemblies.
