Journal ArticleDOI

Measurements of neutrons at JET by means of the activation methods

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the results of activation experiments and calculations carried out for JET plasmas, from the selection of the activation materials to their irradiations in the neutron field of JET discharges.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observation of the palm tree mode, a new mhd mode excited by type-i elms on jet

TL;DR: In this article, a new MHD mode has been discovered during type-I ELMy H-modes in the Joint European Torus (JET) tokamak, which is excited by the perturbation of the edge plasma due to the edge localized mode (ELM).
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling of the ITER-like wide-angle infrared thermography view of JET.

TL;DR: A full predictive photonic simulation able to assess accurately the surface temperature measurement with classical IR thermography from a given plasma scenario and by taking into account the optical properties of PFCs materials is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling the effect of reflection from metallic walls on spectroscopic measurements

TL;DR: A modification of JET is presently being prepared to bring operational experience with ITER-like first wall (Be) and divertor (W) materials, geometry and plasma parameters, which offers the possibility of in situ monitoring of the reflectivity of selected parts of the wall during exposure to plasma operation, while remeasurement of the BRDF is performed during interventions.
