TL;DR: The results from the JET Trace Tritium Experimental (TTE) campaign using minority tritium (T) plasmas (n(T)/n(D) 2 MA) and monotonic q-profiles are presented in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, a set of empirical heat transport models for L-mode (namely, the Bohm-gyroBohm model and scaling based models with a specific fixed radial shape and energy confinement time factors of H96−L = 0.6 or HIPB98 =0.4) has been validated on a multi-machine experimental dataset for predicting the Li dynamics within ± 0.15 accuracy during current ramp-up and ramp-down phases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modelling of tungsten re-deposition coefficient
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study tungsten prompt re-deposition processes at the divertor plates via kinetic modelling of the JET SOL for different divertor plasma parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI
Plasma–wall interactions with nitrogen seeding in all-metal fusion devices: Formation of nitrides and ammonia
M. Oberkofler,D. Alegre,Friedrich Aumayr,S. Brezinsek,T. Dittmar,K. Dobes,D. Douai,Aleksander Drenik,Martin Köppen,U. Kruezi,Ch. Linsmeier,C. P. Lungu,Gerd Meisl,Miran Mozetič,Corneliu Porosnicu,V. Rohde,S. Romanelli,Jet-Efda Contributors +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of surface nitrides on beryllium and tungsten surfaces was shown to be possible upon exposure to a mixed N/D plasma with respect to a pure D plasma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetic simulations of the parallel transport in the JET scrape-off layer
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present kinetic simulation results of plasma parallel transport in the stationary and ELMy scrape-off (SOL) layer and demonstrate that number of kinetic factors describing SOL are strongly nonuniform and evolve during the ELM.
