Journal ArticleDOI

JET new diagnostic capability on the route to ITER

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed diagnostics to better characterise the power deposition on the plasma facing components, to investigate in more detail the radiation losses particularly in the divertor region and to better detect Magneto Hydrodynamic Modes (MHD) instabilities and their effects on fast ion confinement.
Journal ArticleDOI

A New Method to Identify the Equilibria Compatible with the Measurements Using the Technique of the ε-Nets

TL;DR: In this article, a numerical algorithm based on the ε-net technique was proposed to solve the problem of plasma current density and safety factor reconstruction in ITER and JET-like plasmas.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

The TOFOR Neutron Spectrometer for High-Performance Measurements of D Plasma Fuel Ion Properties

TL;DR: The impact of scattered neutrons on the total flux reaching the TOFOR spectrometer at JET has been studied to allow for improvement of the data analysis as mentioned in this paper, and it is demonstrated that scattered neutron are demonstrated to contribute significantly to the flux.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparing the bulk radiated power efficiency in carbon and ITER-like-wall environments in JET

TL;DR: In this article, the authors use a parameter βr for all plasmas that allows detecting the pollution of the plasma bulk by highly radiative impurities, defined as the radiative loss of the mixture of impurities relative to their mean Z2 and used in previous works to characterize the efficiency of radiative mantles in Neon seeded discharges.
