TL;DR: This paper is a compilation of notes on 142 fungal taxa, including five new families, 20 new genera, and 100 new species, representing a wide taxonomic and geographic range.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phylogeny, divergence time estimation, and biogeography of the genus Heterobasidion (Basidiomycota, Russulales)
TL;DR: A multilocus phylogenetic approach and maximum parsimony, maximum likehood, and Bayesian analyses are used to infer the phylogenetic relationships of Heterobasidion species and propose that the occurrence of H. araucariae in the southern Hemisphere was probably due to recent human-mediated introductions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Global diversity and molecular systematics of Wrightoporia s.l. (Russulales, Basidiomycota).
TL;DR: According to phylogenetic and morphological evidence, species previously treated in Wrightoporia were transferred to Amylonotus, Amylosporus and the new genera, or were retained as members of Wrightopori s.l.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phylogeny and diversity of the morphologically similar polypore genera Rigidoporus, Physisporinus, Oxyporus, and Leucophellinus.
TL;DR: Twenty-six species sampled that traditionally belong to Physisporinus, Rigidoporus, Leucophellinus, and Oxyporus are nested mostly in eight lineages, which belong to Polyporales and Hymenochaetales, and 16 new combinations of these genera are proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phylogeny and biogeography of the remarkable genus Bondarzewia (Basidiomycota, Russulales).
TL;DR: From the results, it is inferred that the maximum crown age of Bondarzewia is approximately 25.5 million-years-ago and that tropical East Asia is likely to be its ancestral area, with three possible expansions leading to its distribution in North America, Europe and Oceania.
