TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared 2nd-order QCD calculations with 3-and 4-jet models in the energy range of 14.0-46.7 GeV and showed that the observed excess of spherical events can partially be explained by the production of multi-parton events expected from higher order QCD contributions.

The multiwire drift chamber, a new type of proportional wire chamber
TL;DR: In this article, a new type of proportional wire chamber with large wire distances and accurate position determination by drift time measurement is described, and the complete system with computer read out described in this article has a location accuracy of σ = 0.47 mm.

TL;DR: In this article, a search for the minimal standard model Higgs boson has been performed with data from e+e− collisions in the OPAL detector at LEP, based on 825 nb−1 of data taken at center-of-mass energies between 88.3 and 95.0 GeV.
