Mbe growth and magnetic properties of GaSb/MnSb superlattices

TL;DR: In this paper, a 37-period GaSb(25 /spl Aring/)/MnSb (2 /spl Ring/) superlattice on GaAs(001) substrate with 1000/spl RING/GaSb buffer layer was grown by solid-source molecular beam epitaxy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characteristics of Zr-based single- and multiple-barrier superconducting tunnel junctions

TL;DR: Using Zr oxide for the tunnel barrier formation, it is shown experimentally that the effect of pinholes is suppressed in the double-barrier versus single-branched junction configuration as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assembly of ordered magnetic microsphere arrays

TL;DR: In this article, a pipette flow is created to remove loose (unsecured) microspheres from a cocktail of individually functionalized paramagnetic micro-spheres, which can screen a large number of targets per unit area.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Unusual I/V characteristics of Nb/Al/AlOx/Al/AlOx/Nb SINIS tunnel junctions

TL;DR: In this paper, the double-barrier Nb/Al-Al-O-Al Ox-Al Al-AlOx-(Al/)Nb devices with various thickness and purity of the middle Al layer were fabricated and investigated.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Second harmonic generation in hexagonal SiC

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported optical second harmonic generation measurements in single crystal a-SiC of polytype 6H and found that the sample was optically uniaxial, consistent with the hexagonal symmetry of the crystal structure.
