Development of highly conducting n-type micro-crystalline silicon oxide thin film and its application in high efficiency amorphous silicon solar cell

TL;DR: In this article, a wide band gap and highly conducting n-type nano-crystalline silicon oxide films (n-μc-SiO:H) of varying crystalline volume fraction (Xc) are applied in device fabrication, so that it plays the roles of n-layer and back reflector in p-i-n type solar cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Boron-doped hydrogenated mixed-phase silicon as thermo-sensing films for infrared detectors

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report the important characteristics of hydrogenated mixed-phase silicon films, deposited by the plasmaenhanced chemical vapour deposition process, for infrared detectors, and demonstrate that the mixed phase silicon films are potential alternatives to conventional boron doped hydrogenated amorphous and micro-crystalline silicon films for use as thermo-sensing layers in infrared detectors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deterioration of Porcelain Insulators Utilized in Overhead Transmission Lines: A Review

TL;DR: In this article, the authors highlight investigation of various failures of suspension type porcelain insulators, influencing factors responsible for degradation in lifetime and deterioration of suspension types of insulators.
