Journal ArticleDOI
Locality sensitive hashing: A comparison of hash function types and querying mechanisms
TL;DR: This paper compares several families of space hashing functions in a real setup and reveals that unstructured quantizer significantly improves the accuracy of LSH, as it closely fits the data in the feature space.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Redox Status of Cancer Cells Supports Mechanisms behind the Warburg Effect
Jorgelindo da Veiga Moreira,Minoo Hamraz,Mohammad Abolhassani,Erwan Bigan,Sabine Peres,Loïc Paulevé,Marcel Levy Nogueira,Jean-Marc Steyaert,Laurent Schwartz +8 more
TL;DR: The results show that the average ATP concentration over the cell cycle is higher and the pHi is globally more acidic in normal proliferating cells, which strongly support the high throughput aerobic glycolysis, or Warburg effect, observed in cancer cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
The CoLoMoTo Interactive Notebook: Accessible and Reproducible Computational Analyses for Qualitative Biological Networks
Aurélien Naldi,Céline Hernandez,Nicolas Levy,Gautier Stoll,Pedro T. Monteiro,Claudine Chaouiya,Tomáš Helikar,Andrei Zinovyev,Laurence Calzone,Laurence Calzone,Sarah Cohen-Boulakia,Denis Thieffry,Loïc Paulevé +12 more
TL;DR: A Python interface for each of the software tools GINsim, BioLQM, Pint, MaBoSS, and Cell Collective is developed to offer a seamless integration in the Jupyter web interface and ease the chaining of complementary analyses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cell cycle progression is regulated by intertwined redox oscillators
Jorgelindo da Veiga Moreira,Sabine Peres,Jean-Marc Steyaert,Erwan Bigan,Loïc Paulevé,Loïc Paulevé,Marcel Levy Nogueira,Marcel Levy Nogueira,Laurent Schwartz +8 more
TL;DR: It is hypothesize here that the cytosolic pH may coordinate mitochondrial activity and thus the different redox cycles, which in turn control the cell metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reconciling Qualitative, Abstract, and Scalable Modeling of Biological Networks
TL;DR: The authors introduce an execution paradigm, the Most Permissive Boolean Networks (MPBNs), which offers the formal guarantee not to miss any behavior achievable by a quantitative model following the same logic.
