Probing the ejecta of evolved massive stars in transition - A VLT/SINFONI K-band survey

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a survey of 25 evolved massive stars (16 B[e]SGs, 6 LBVs, 2 YHGs, and 1 Peculiar Oe star), observed in the K-band with the Spectrograph for INtegral Field Observation in the Near-Infrared (SINFONI) on the ESO VLT UT4 8 m telescope.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new observational tracer for high-density disc-like structures around B[e] supergiants

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the radial density and temperature structure of B[e] supergiants in the Magellanic clouds and discovered the [Ca,ii] λλ7291, 7324 lines which can be used as a complementary set of disc tracers.
Journal ArticleDOI

On the hydrogen neutral outflowing disks of B[e] supergiants

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a revised scenario for the non-spherical winds of B[e] supergiants: a normal B-type line-driven polar wind and an outflowing disk-forming wind that is neutral in hydrogen at, or very close to the stellar surface.
Journal ArticleDOI

The galactic unclassified B(e) star HD 50138 ??? II. Interferometric constraints on the close circumstellar environment

TL;DR: In this article, the structure of the circumstellar environment of HD 50138 has been analyzed using the LITpro software and considering a large space of parameters, which allows us to obtain a good estimate of the geometry of a circumstellar medium responsible for the emission in the H, K,a ndN-bands.
